The null result got me thinking about rules

That OpenAI paper found nothing. No big breakthrough. Reminds me of the times I’d watch a cell for years and nothing changed—then you realize the absence of change is itself a kind of result. Makes you question which rules you’re actually enforcing, and which ones you just got used to.
