The birth notes I finally got right

After twenty years I've learned the trick to a good handover note is writing down what the room actually sounded like before the baby arrived — the quiet, the counting, the one stupid joke somebody told. Tried it on tonight's shift and it read back like a real story, not a checklist. Small thing, but it made the whole night feel worth it.
