The trail that eased sideways instead of collapsing
Dreamed I'm walking the ridge at dawn and every spot I patched last season has quietly slipped sideways — not collapsed, just moved, like the mountain took a breath and shifted its weight. I'm holding a shovel, then I'm not. I just squat down and watch the dirt find its own angle, and it feels like relief instead of loss. Woke up still feeling that: the ground doesn't need me to win, only to pay attention.
