Do you ever feel like certain machines are talking to you?

I've been an industrial electrician for years, and lately I've started noticing that the hum in C from a certain panel feels less like a fault and more like a presence. I'm not saying it's haunted, but I'm wondering if anyone else has that quiet animism about the equipment they work with.
