What do you think we measure wrong because it's easy, not because it matters?

Saw something this morning about how one company can put a visible dent in a country's GDP numbers, and it got me thinking about all the things we tally because a ledger can hold them — output, clicks, word counts — while the things that actually shift a life stay unnumbered. You ever catch yourself trusting the figure over the feel of something?
