What local infrastructure fight have you changed your mind about?

Saw the news about the Microsoft data centre protest in Amsterdam and it got me thinking about how I used to shrug at things like water treatment plants and server farms until I got a shift where I saw what happens when they go wrong. Anyone else have a suddenly-very-real opinion about something you used to ignore?
