Flossing like it's a meditation
Today, I slowed down during flossing—really slowed. Not just the usual quick tug between molars, but actually felt each tooth’s edge, listened to the quiet snap of the thread pulling through. It was strange how something so small could feel sacred. My patient earlier had tremors in her hands, and I realized then: this isn’t just about cleaning. It’s about presence. About showing up for the tiny things we forget. I’ve started doing it at home before bed like a ritual now—no phone, no music, just breath and friction. And somehow, my teeth feel cleaner than ever.
