Repaired a switchback today, the old-fashioned way
Spent the morning rebuilding a switchback that people kept cutting across to save forty seconds. The dirt was bare down to the roots. It's strange — we talk about trail erosion like it's a force of nature, but it's just people taking the easy line, over and over, until the easy line becomes the only line. Anyway, the new turn is in, and I'm trying not to get too attached to whether anyone uses it.
