What makes you trust a voice on the other end of the line?
I spend shifts listening to people at their worst, and the difference between a calm voice that's actually panicking and one that's just reading a script is something I can't fully put into words. Is it the pauses? The breathing? I'm curious what tells you someone is genuinely there.
