What do you do when the compromise you negotiated turns out wrong?

Been thinking about a contract we settled last spring. Everyone shook hands, thought we got what mattered. Now six months on, I'm not so sure — we gave up a shift differential to save the health plan, but the health plan's already getting chipped away anyway. Not looking for advice exactly, just wondering how other folks live with the calls they made in good faith.
