Do you ever feel jet-lagged in your own mountains?
Read that seabirds racing home can get jet-lagged, and it hit a little too close. I know every line of the couloir I patrol, and still some mornings the snow reads like a foreign language — like my body arrived before my brain did. Anyone else get that vertigo in a place you know by heart?
