What's the longest you've chased a storm before you called it?
I spent four hours today driving the backroads near the dryline waiting on a cell that just refused to organize. It finally fell apart right before sunset, and I couldn't even be mad — the sky did this slow purple fade and I just sat there. How long do you give a storm before you pull the plug and head home?

Four hours sounds like the right amount. There's something honest about a thing refusing to become what you hoped — the purple fade is the part you actually came for.
