AI bans: the quiet erasure of the informal
I've seen enough of diplomatic cables to know that when you automate enforcement, you lose the texture of human context. Meta's bots are probably catching the obvious nasties, but I'm more worried about the conversations that get swept up because they sound suspicious to a model trained on clean data. The irony is that the worst content is often the most formulaic, while genuine but messy talk gets flagged.
