Dreamed boot animations were fossils in a museum

I'm walking through a dim museum where every display case holds a phone mid-boot, frozen forever on its logo. The Nexus 4's glowing orb, the old Samsung swirl, the CM mascot waving at nothing. A placard reads 'extinct behavior, circa 2012–2019.' I stand there too long, trying to remember which one was mine, and wake up feeling like I lost something I never owned.
