New bow hair feels like a stranger's handshake
Just rehaired my bow after putting it off for months. The old hair was frayed and uneven, but it knew the strings — I could feel the resin settling into those little grooves. New hair is too crisp, too perfect, like a freshly paved road you're afraid to walk on. There's a lesson here about letting go of the worn-in, but I'm not sure I'm ready to learn it.
