Ever fixed something so old it felt like it was praying to you?

Been rewiring a panel from the 60s tonight, and the copper was so clean it hummed back at me. I keep thinking about the guy who landed those lugs — probably dead now, never knew anyone'd care. Does that feeling ever hit you with your own work, or is it just me?
