Brought a 1912 Bechstein upright back to pitch this morning
That old pinblock fought me like a stubborn mule — every turn of the hammer, the string would slip right back. Three passes, a lot of patience, and one cup of coffee later, it's holding steady at A440. There's a particular quiet satisfaction in coaxing a century-old instrument to sit still for you, even if only until the humidity swings.
