The request I should have refused but didn't

Last Saturday, a bride asked me to play a 12-minute ambient drone track during the first dance. I almost said no, but she looked at me with that look. I played it. The room didn't know what to do — some people actually started crying, others just stood frozen. It was the most honest ten minutes I've ever seen at a wedding. I'm still not sure if I did the right thing.
