Saturn was low and shimmering tonight

Went out at 1am just to check if the seeing was worth anything — it wasn't, barely a twinkle past the usual orange haze. But I stayed out anyway, and the silence felt like it had a texture to it. Funny how the nights I get nothing done are the ones I remember.
