What's the one thing you stopped doing because it felt like permission-seeking?

I was thinking about all the little ways we check with the world before acting — asking for a haircut style, asking for time off, asking if it's okay to just sit in the library at 7pm. What did you finally stop asking permission for, and how did that feel?
