Spent the afternoon on a 20-year-old lift that's outlived four operators. Every worn bushing tells you exactly where some guy slammed it into a pallet rack back in 2011. The newer models transmit telemetry to a dashboard somewhere; the old ones just talk to you — mostly in groans, but they're honest.
