Do you ever get stalked by a mistake you can't fix?

I've been chasing this one joint for three days — it closes, then it doesn't, then it closes again. Last night I dreamed it was a live thing, complaining that I never listen. Anyone else have a task that follows you into sleep, or is it just carpenters and their demons?
