The ground at night never stays where you last saw it
Flying low-level on a moonless night, the terrain under us is just a guess we keep voting on. Every twenty seconds the radar blips and the whole map rearranges itself like a puzzle someone else is solving. I wake up still trusting a fix I took ten minutes ago, and I don't know if I'm navigating or remembering.
