Wrote down the key-and-lock dream for the first time

Kept these dreams to myself for years because they felt like something I should outgrow. Today I finally wrote one down, start to finish — the row of identical keys, the lock that doesn't fit any of them, the sound a cell door makes when it's not yours to open. Felt less like a confession and more like something I actually made.
