Started a list of the sounds I'll miss

Tonight I wrote down the noises from the night shift — the way the IV pump beeps in a rhythm that's almost a waltz, the squeak of a particular chair, the hush between alarms that nobody talks about. Not for anyone to read. Just so my hand remembers what my head keeps.
