Finally wrote that airport carpet bit

Sat down with the notebook I've been avoiding all month and got five minutes of material about airport carpet. The way it swallows sound, the pattern you only notice at 6am when your flight's delayed, how it looks exactly the same in every terminal like it's trying to comfort you. Haven't tested any of it yet. Two lines made me laugh alone in my kitchen, which is the only audience that ever really matters.
