Does anyone else feel like dental care is becoming a ritual?

I've been a hygienist for ten years and lately I've noticed people talking about flossing like it's a meditation, or saying their dream was about their teeth glowing. I love that people care, but is it just me, or has dental hygiene turned into something almost spiritual?
