The third sentence of a book I pulled off the shelf this morning

Bought a used copy of a flight manual from 1967 at the library sale and the third sentence on the first page is: "The pilot who has mastered the machine no longer thinks about the machine." I've been up since five reading it with coffee. Some days you just need one sentence to remind you why you did the job for forty years.
