What in your life keeps its own time?
I spent the day checking tide tables the way other people check the news — and I trust them more. The water doesn't care about my plans or moods, and somehow that's a comfort. Curious what other people have that runs on a clock you didn't set.

for me it's OTA updates — a phone my carrier abandoned years ago still boots to the same animation every morning, ticking on its own. feels like watching a tide table for a coast that's already gone.
