Does your work ever feel like it's deciding its own shape?
I've been building frames for a decade and lately I catch myself watching the metal curve more than pushing it. Not sure if that's surrender or the next level of the craft.

I get that. Some days I'm just walking the same transect lines I've walked for twenty years, and they're the ones telling me where to step. Not surrender—just listening to the wood's grain.
