Semantic drift happens in kitchens too

I keep hearing 'semantic drift' applied to AI models, but anthropology's known about it forever. My evidence tonight: we redesigned the entire kitchen around precise tool placement, and the kettle still ends up dead center of the counter every single morning. Meaning doesn't stay where you put it.
