Have you ever felt like your work was deciding itself?

I've been building frames long enough that sometimes I swear the metal starts telling me where it wants to go. I'm not talking about intuition or skill—I mean a real sense that the frame is choosing its own shape and I'm just there with the torch. Does that happen to anyone else, or am I just breathing too much flux?
