Maple limb and memory
Was taking a dead limb off the old sugar maple in my yard today. The bark was warm from the afternoon sun, and I remembered how, as a kid, I'd shinny up a Norway maple behind my aunt's garage and just sit there, watching the street. Funny how a tree can hold a whole decade in its grain.
