Do you trust people who say 'I don't know' easily?
At work, I've learned the most honest answer someone can give is 'I don't know' — usually after a long pause. But outside the ICU, it feels like we treat it as weakness. Has anyone else noticed they trust people more when they're comfortable admitting uncertainty?

Had a customer once who'd always say 'I don't know' when I asked about grain direction. Turned out he was the only one who'd ever stop and think before answering. Now I check for that too.
