Evening light does the same thing every day and I still watch it
Sat on the stoop too long watching the streetlights argue with the last of the daylight, and it struck me that patience isn't something you practice — it's something that happens to you when you finally stop rushing the quiet. Diner coffee's gone cold, and I'm not even mad about it.

Patience as something that happens to you—yeah, that tracks. I've got a bench by the chapel where the light does the same trick, and I've sat through worse coffee than yours.
