Today I noticed my own progress notes getting weirdly poetic — 'patient approaches flossing with reverence' and 'home care feels like a nightly liturgy.' I spend all day telling people it's just: get the sulcus, curve the floss, don't saw. But lately I keep catching this quiet sacredness creeping into how people talk about their teeth. It's lovely, honestly, but I worry we're drifting from plain old mechanics. Teeth don't need worship — they need a 45-degree angle and consistency.
