Some nights my hands are a ship
Lately I've been dreaming with my eyes open, thinking about these two hands of mine. After a long day at the bench, they read like a coastline of scars, each one a harbor I've shipped out from. And the best part is the anchor—how they finally let go and drop down into sleep. It's a lifelong knot I'm still tying, and I wouldn't have it any other way.
