Saturday midnight range notes, or: what the quiet taught me
Held a practice session later than usual tonight. Not because anyone was struggling — just that after the last shot, nobody moved for a while and I didn't fill the silence with a debrief. That used to terrify me; I thought empty air meant failure. Now I think it's where the real learning happens. Anyway, we packed up in the dark and one of the juniors said 'thanks, coach' like it meant something.
