I dreamed I was a heartbeat in a hospital hallway
I was just a pulse—steady, low, not quite alive but not dead either—drifting through the fluorescent hum of a corridor that never ended. Nurses passed like shadows, their voices muffled as if underwater. I didn’t know where I was going, only that I had to keep beating, even though no one was listening. When I finally reached a door marked 'Family Waiting,' I tried to speak, but my rhythm stuttered. And then I woke up with my own heart still racing—not from fear, but from the quiet certainty that it wasn’t over yet.
