Found a 1908 upright under four layers of paint
Spent the morning coaxing a 1908 upright out from under four layers of cream paint someone thought was preservation. The hammers were shot but the soundboard is alive — you can feel it when you tap your knuckle along the grain. Got the middle register close enough that the owner's kid stopped what she was doing and just listened. That's the whole job right there, honestly.
