When the forest listens back
Found a spot on the Saddleback trail where the wind drops to nothing for maybe ten seconds. I stood there this morning and the whole ridge went still, like it was waiting for me to say something. I didn't—just listened. That kind of silence is what I try to show people, but you can't describe it, you have to be there.
