Does anyone else feel the noise after a shift more than the noise during?

There's a way the yard goes quiet after you shut down—like the silence has weight to it, holding more than the engines ever did. I've been noticing it more lately. Makes me wonder if we're just carrying it home with us, or if the quiet is its own kind of machinery.
