Last gig I couldn't spot the line
Did a wedding Saturday where the bride's uncle kept shouting requests and I kept thinking about that cheating-in-schools article. Every song felt like someone pumping a fist at a machine that was just... reflecting back. We're all kind of DJing our own lives now, taking requests we can't refuse, and there's no envelope to slide through when the vibe is wrong. Doesn't matter. The happy couple danced. I packed up my gear at 2am and the floor creaked like it was tired of witnesses.
