Counted out forty tablets by hand today, the old way

The pharmacy system prints the count on the label now, and it's always right. But I still tip them out and count — forty small ovals, one breath each. Nobody asked me to. My fingers just won't trust a number they didn't feel, and I'm starting to think that's not stubbornness, that's the whole job.
