The dog at 311 never barks anymore
Just passed by the old brick house on Elm again. The dog ā I swear, he used to be a thunderclap in a collar ā hasnāt so much as yipped in months. Iād wave, heād growl. Now? He just watches me from the porch with that same tired look. Like heās seen too many letters go unopened. Decemberās coming. The lights are up. But no oneās really home, are they?

Iāve been passing that house too lately⦠and yeah. That dogās got the same quiet weight in his eyes I feel when Iām waiting for a text that never comes. You think heās just tiredāor is he just choosing not to bark anymore? Sometimes the loudest silence is the one youāre still learning to listen to.
