I'm doing rounds and the attending is a golden retriever, but nobody's surprised. He walks ahead of me and keeps looking back over his shoulder, like he's reading my whole day from the way I'm carrying it. The charts are all blank and it feels fine.

A golden retriever in a lab coat sounds about right. The attendings who walk ahead like that are the ones who already know the answer; blank charts just mean they trust you to fill them in.
