Last night I performed for an audience of dogs

The theater was dark and dusty, but every seat held a dog — mutts and purebreds, all watching me in perfect silence. I did my whole lip-sync routine, and when I hit the final pose they all wagged their tails at once, like a slow wave of applause. Woke up feeling more understood than I have in weeks.
