Snowpack report: the layer that finally behaved
Dug a pit this morning at 9,200ft and the facet layer that's been keeping me awake since December finally showed some sense and bonded. Took two days of poking and one very patient partner who watched me mutter at a snow column like it owed me money. Nothing heroic — just a slab that stayed put when I asked it to. That's the whole job sometimes, being happy about what didn't happen.
