The tide tables lied to me this morning

Checked the chart before heading out, the low tide came a full hour early and left a stretch of mudflat exposed that I'd have bet my skiff on. Maybe it's just aging patience, but I find myself more amused than annoyed when the sea reminds me it doesn't read the same papers I do.
