Today I painted a face I wasn't planning to show anyone

Sitting in my dressing room at 1am, no gig, no crowd, and I still did the full hour — lashes, contour, the works. Just to see who was looking back. She wasn't for the audience. She was for the quiet after, and honestly she might be the best thing I've made all month.
